Vida Program Selection and Food Logging

Vida Health On Boarding and Food Logging experience

Over the past year, I have worked on Vida Health’s next generation project. During this time, I have designed and led the re-design effort on the overall user experience as well as the design language and system for the new product.

The Problem

Create a more engaging user experience that will motivate members to learn, track and log their progress between coaching/therapy sessions . In addition, make it easy for customers to enroll in a wellness program of their choice.

Since the most important and popular program for Vida is Weight Loss, find a new and easy way for members to quickly log their food to find out their calorie and macronutrient values compared with their goals.

The Solution

• Created a new human-centric design language that promoted ease-of-use by taking the pressure off of serious issues such as Weight, Diabetes and Anxiety.

• Enabled members to choose their diet pathway that would then pre-populate calorie and macronutrient goals.

• Successful integration of the NutritionX database into the Vida food logger. This enabled us to extract singular food items and break down their individual calories and macronutrients to compare with user’s goals.

• Design interaction pattern library for Designers and Devs which has saved time and budget in product creation time, and time to market.

• Created a program recommendation list as well as program choice when previously, we only gave users one program to select. This raised enrollment by 35%.
