eBay Fashion Universal App

Role: Design strategy, Lead UX designer, visual designer
Background
The innovation group wanted to experiment with different ways to shop for fashion. One way was to promote a predominately browse experience on the home screen. The other was to experiment with image recognition.
Solutions
The first version of the app lacked personalization capabilities, so items displayed were curated content and sales in an infinite scroll. In version two, the added ability of personalization opened up the possibility to browse items aggregated from the shopper’s history. Finally, a feature called “Shop the Look” enabled shoppers to browse items by their favorite color or color/pattern combination.
